The Action for Men Project title

Action for Men logoImage of graffiti and anonymous man on busThe Action for Men Project works with gay and bisexual men, aiming to encourage good sexual and mental health.

The Project, which works across all of North Essex, is based in Epping. As well as engaging with men around issues of safer sex, and supplying free condoms and lube, the project is keen to support men who have been subject to any sort of homophobic incident.

Staff at the project have worked closely with Essex Police to ensure that policies are in place to ensure fair and appropriate procedures when dealing with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people. We also have experience of supporting men who have been subject to a range of homophobic incidents. A Third Party reporting system is in place so that men who do not want, for whatever reason, to report an incident directly to the police, can have it reported anonymously by a third party.

Men often contact us for details of organisations and places where they can get support on specific issues.

We are keen to hear from anyone who has experienced a homophobic incident and offer them whatever support we can.

Action for Men's website - www.action4men.org - gives details about the project.
